This valley was once the place where they produced the most prestigious wine in France, that used to celebrate a king’s coronation : Saint Vincent. Hardly anything now remains of these once famous vineyards. The “centre of gravity” of Laon is now filled with gardens, bringing all the charm of the countryside into the middle of town.
